Beautiful and historic. Nicely renovated recently. A beautiful church under renovation. A tour with three of us and shop keeper, Dorothy, was just awesome and so interesting. Shopping with Dorothy at the gift shop produced a Russian sugar and creamer as a thank you gift for my dear friend in Nikiski for hosting two of us from Clint, Texas. One of the highlites of our venture to Akaska! Great history and a beautiful building. I remember coming here when I was 11 or 12, it was in the summer and the churchyard was full of wildflowers. Fireweed that was knee high, wild daisies, bachelor buttons, sweet peas, wild roses, queen annes lace. Just so many wildflowers. Isn't very well kept up, looks like it's just been built and kinda abandoned.
